The Glorious Work of The Holy Spirit
That's why the Holy Spirit shall declare unto us, whatsoever belongs to the Lord Jesus and whatever He has belongs to the Father. It's because they are One. And so God's Spirit is the Holy Spirit.
It is the Holy Spirit that came upon the Lord Jesus Christ, when He was being baptized in the River Jordan by John the Baptist.
The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in the upper room after they tarried there, based on the Lord Jesus' command to tarry there until they were endued with power from on High.
The promised Holy Spirit is what we receive when we're born again and it is what came upon the disciples to make them ready for service, just as He does with us!
It's interesting that the Lord Jesus, when He came out of the water, was authorized by the Holy Spirit when The Holy Spirit came upon Him like a dove. In the same way, we are authorized for service by the Holy Spirit coming upon us, just as in the book of Acts.
The Holy Spirit Brings Us Into Eternal Life Through The Knowledge of Him!
Jesus in fact said it like this: He said, to know God and to know Jesus Christ whom He has sent that this is eternal life (John 17).

How do you know God?
You know God because His Spirit reveals Him to you and makes The Father and The Lord Jesus Christ known to you. And so, the work of salvation is the work of the power of the Holy Spirit.
You can't say that you know God or are born again if you don't have The Holy Spirit. This is why the Apostle Paul said, if you have His Spirit, then you are His. But if you don't, then you are not His (paraphrasing Romans 8:9).
The Holy Spirit is different from our sinful nature. We see the struggle that the apostle Paul had in the book of Romans Chapters 8 and 9.
In first Corinthians 12 that we see that we receive spiritual gifts. We receive every good gift.

- We learn the deep things of God
- We understand God's kingdom by the work of the Holy Spirit.

We also receive righteousness, joy and peace. These things are in the Holy Spirit, according to Romans 14:17.
God's Kingdom is in the Holy Spirit.
We know this because Jesus said that the kingdom of God comes not with observation, but behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
The Kingdom of Heaven is within us. God's Kingdom is brought to us by the Holy Spirit.
And this is again confirmed by the Apostle Paul when he says that the kingdom of God is not meat or drink but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit in Romans 14:17.
