Do You Want A Short Teaching On Loving Others?

Jesus says that there's no greater love that any man has than this than a man lay down his life for his friends.

And so if we are to demonstrate perfect love, that casts out fear, and if we are to demonstrate steadfast love for one another, then we are to receive this love from God by the Holy Spirit.

The scripture says that the love of God was shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. And so, in order to show true love for one another, then we must go to the Holy Ghost, because it is only from God Himself, that we can demonstrate unfailing love for one another. We are to abide also in Him, as he abided in his father's love (John 14).

We are to love as God loves; we are to do as God does.

We are to sacrifice as God sacrificed by sending His Son.

When we talk about loving one another, we also have to talk about faith because faith is central to this love. The Bible says that faith works through love (Galatians 5:6). And so love is the necessary tool that we need in order to demonstrate faith.

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

You know, God sent His only begotten Son into the world that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Our love should also be a giving to others that has nothing to do with whether or not they have something to give.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We should love this way. We should give love as led by the Holy Ghost. We should share God as He commands.

True Love is a giving of God to somebody.

That's why it's by keeping His commandments that we demonstrate love for him. And it's by loving the way that he loved that the Lord Jesus Christ asks us to love.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Jesus loved by doing as the Father did.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

He commands us to do the same!

This is because love (agape) is an outshoot of God to the world. Do you love in such a way that your love demonstrates God's love to other people?

Do you love with such a sincere love, that your love is a testament of the love of God? If not, then that love was not wrought in God.
