Psalm 84 KJV

King James Version, Holy Bible

1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

More Psalms Chapter 84 (Old Testament, King James Bible)

They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Psalms 84 Devotional: THE TABERNACLE series 1

Thought for the day: His death has given us accessibility to His presence forever

Message:

We shall be considering a wonderful topic and it is going to be in a series. Please make sure you read part two of this, it will bless you immensely.

When man was made originally, the man was made to be filled with God's presence, the kind of man that God designed was the man that God would look down from heaven and, see Himself in man and be satisfied. Please go with me.

The agreement of heaven to bring down the will of God was accomplished when man was made. see the Lord's prayer

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:9-11

The three verses above show the original plan of God that Adam could not fulfill. It was left to the Lord Jesus to come and redeem us back as a temple of the Lord. I will talk more about this as we continue in this series.

God was into two plans at creation:

1The earth was made to expand his kingdom, in other words, the earth is an extension of heaven,

2 Bringing the will of heaven down to the earth

These plans cannot be actualized if there is no one from heaven. What God did was to make a suit that was fit to stand on the earth, and impact Himself into the suit. This is awesome, right? Considering this, that means you are a heavenly being living in an earthly suit, you came from heaven therefore you belong to heaven. Let us consider this verse before we round off series one.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:26-28

His image is His person, His likeness is His character. In other words, the man was made in his person to display his character. What now went wrong that man couldn't function in this capacity? Come with me to series two.
