   Psalm Chapter 127 KJV

King James Version, Holy Bible

Psalm 127 KJV

Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

ARROWS IN THE HAND OF ALMIGHTY GOD

Thought for the day: Children are powerful weapons in the hand of God

Message:

This chapter is dedicated to children and how to raise them successfully. Verse one made us understand that children can only be trained not with human wisdom but with the wisdom of God. The scripture explains that no matter your effort, if God is not involved it is an effort in futility.

This verse made me understand why some parents will do everything to take care of their children but their children still go the way of the world and turn to the devil.

Let me show you something. The first revelation is that your children must know is that they are God’s heritage. This will make them know that they don’t own themselves and that they are owned by God.

You can do this by dedicating them to God and feeding them the word of God daily.  My spiritual father normally tells me and others that the only legacy he is giving us is Christ. When they have the reality that they are made in God’s image, they will not want to displease The Father and will always want to do God's will.

Another thing mentioned in the chapter is that they are like arrows.

The reason is that they have the ability to do whatever they want to do.

I need to make something clear here. If you didn’t show them to God as His heritage, they will become an arrow to the devil.

Children cannot be neutral, they live by the inspiration of what has possessed their hearts. If you want them to be a weapon to the Lord, then release them to God.

Isaiah 8: Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

When you release them unto God, they will be signs and wonders and take the battle to the gate of the enemy, please don’t expose them to things of this world if you haven’t released them to Christ.

3 John 1: I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Let this be your joy too. Start early in committing them into the hand of God with discipline and you will see God's intervention in their lives.

My Counsel:

Ø  Release your children to the Lord; they are not yours

Ø  Be dedicated to teaching them about God and He will see you through.

Declaration

Father, Thank you for my children. I ask that you possess them and call them your own, in Jesus' Name.
