Joshua Chapter 4
Verse: "So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.” - Joshua 4:7
Lesson: In Joshua Chapter 4, the Israelites had just crossed the Jordan River on dry ground, and the Lord commanded Joshua to have 12 stones taken from the river as a memorial to what God had done for them. The stones were to be a reminder for future generations of the power and faithfulness of God.
Conclusion: God wants us to remember the great things He has done in our lives. Just as the Israelites were instructed to set up stones as a memorial, we should take time to remember and reflect on the times when God has been faithful to us. This will not only increase our faith but also serve as a testimony to others.
Prayer points: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness to me. Help me to remember the times when you have shown up in my life and to share those stories with others. Give me the courage to trust in your power and provision, even when things are difficult. Amen.
