What Does Aaron Mean?
The name Aaron means mountain of strength, or strong mountain, warrior lion, exalted, strong.
As with other biblical names, Aaron's name was meant to have significance in terms of his life and destiny. Since his name goes hand in hand with manly qualities, it's significant that as the High Priest he somewhat embodied what it meant to be a priest. This is another witness against women preachers and pastors in the House of God, directly in line with the Apostle Paul's teaching.
Since the name Aaron is such a powerful name that evokes imagery of strength and exaltation, it's interesting that the psalmist in Psalm 133 used Aaron's beard.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. (Psalm 133:1–2)
Because the name Aaron is used when talking about brethren who dwell together in unity as one, it speaks to his high priestly position as the first high priest of Israel.
And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.. (Exodus 28:1)
He was also the one who spoke on behalf of Moses when Moses was insecure with speaking to Pharaoh, representing the strength needed to speak to power.
And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land. (Exodus 7:1–2)
In his high priestly role, he was a teacher of the law as an exalted man in a position of power. Consequently, the imagery of manhood, strength, exaltation, and speaking strength to power are hallmarks of the Hebrew name, Aaron.
And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses. (Leviticus 10:11)

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
3 And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.
5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
