Psalm Chapter 98 KJV

King James Version, Holy Bible

O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

More Psalms Chapter 98 (Old Testament)

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Psamls Chapter 98 Devotional: MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE

Thought for the day: You are made to praise the Lord.

Message:

Everything made by God was designed to praise Him. We hear the sound of birds and other living creatures and we know that their purpose is to praise the Lord. We have the understanding of this in the scripture. Let us check it out:

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11

All things were made for his pleasure and those things are to make a joyful noise unto him, everything was made to make noise of praise to the Lord, we see how God helped people to create many instruments for His praise, see verse 5

Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

Every instrument was invented for His praise, not that alone, verse 7 and 8 confirmed that even the sea and flood make noise and clap hands to praise the king of glory,

The benefit of a joyful noise

·             It prevents your soul from spiritual sickness.

·             It heals the brokenhearted.

·             It is a weapon against the enemy of your soul.

·             It moves God to act on your behalf.

·             It connotes a total submission of your battle to the Lord.

I will end this chapter with the story of Paul and Silas in the scripture. They were in a difficult situation that needed divine intervention. They had been kept in the prison tied down and there was no hope for them again. They could have chosen to die there or call on the name of the Lord.

They decided to call on the name of the Lord not in a prayer point but in singing aloud. You know what happened later.

Why not try it today?

I know your present situation didn’t want you to sing, why not shame the devil and rise from where you are and praise the Lord, let the devil know that you cannot be stopped in praising the Lord. I command God's intervention in your life as you praise Him in Jesus' name.

Will you praise God now?

My Counsel

Ø  A dead man cannot praise God. The fact that you are alive shows that God loves you. Don’t toy with His love, praise the Lord now.

Ø  Praise God with your strength and hand over that battle unto the Lord.

Declaration

Father, thank you for all you have done. I choose to praise You now and always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
