Psalm 106 Devotional: WILDERNESS JOURNEY
Thought for the day: Always remember the God that saved you.
This psalm described the journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the promised land, when God promised to take them out of slavery and take them to the land of promise, and how many people died in the wilderness.
It is clear to us that Israelites recognized their God when He performs miracles, but after a few days, they forget God's promise and begin to murmur against Him. The miracle that God performed should have been enough for them to trust God, but it did wasn't, and they died without experiencing the glory of the promised land.
See what the scripture says in Psalm 103: 7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Every Christian that follows Jesus based on His acts may easily fall away when they are not getting what they want. When Moses cried for His way, the Israelites cried for His miracle, which is why they perceived God in different ways. Moses saw God as a friend, and the Israelites saw God as a stranger.
Please don't be swayed by what you have or don't have; the most important thing is fellowship, keeping with God and trusting Him to get you through. Don't let the devil steal God's presence from you because you haven't received what you prayed for; you need more than God's act - you need His way.
Ø Seek for His way and you will see God in new and different ways.
Ø If your prayers have not been answered, wait until the right time that God chooses.
Father, I am sorry for all my complaints, come into my life and have mercy on me, help me to love you unconditionally in Jesus' name.
