Psalm Chapter 95 KJV

King James Version, Holy Bible

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice,

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

THE GREAT GOD

Thought for the day: Everything He made is a show of His greatness.

Message:

Reading through this scripture shows the magnificent power of God. He was described in many ways. He was called the rock of salvation.

The journey of salvation starts and ends with Him. He made the world by His word and reconciled the world by His word.

Another amazing thing in this chapter that shows the awesomeness of God was when the psalmist was describing things He made: In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

Amazing! His hand is over everywhere, even where men cannot reach. Now I have the understanding of how Christ could work on the sea. It was because His hands were over the sea.

The psalmist said again that God is the strength of the hills. This was why Moses could hit the rock and the water came out; it was because His strength lies over that rock. See this scripture:

How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation. Daniel 4:3

Even Nebuchadnezzar, the great king, knew that God is the greatest.

His manifest power shows everywhere over the world; it shows on the sea and in the firmament. God is great in wonders.

Do you know what this implies?

He is there for you.

He was there when you were born and He hasn’t stopped working and He will prove His wonders in your life. The scripture confirms this:

13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:13-14

The Lord showed His greatness when the Israelites lost hope and thought their end had come. Pharaoh wanted to end their lives but God said that He was the beginning of a new thing.

I prophesy to you that this Great Power will show in your life; God will transform your life in Jesus' Name

My Counsel

Ø  Think of His greatness daily and honour Him for what He has done.

Ø  Don’t allow the devil to deceive you that God has forgotten you. No, He has not and He will not!

Ø  His wonders confirm the existence of God. Call on Him and He will show His greatness in your life.

Declaration

Father, I thank you for your greatness. Let your mighty hand be manifested in my life in Jesus' name.
