Psalm Chapter 123 KJV

King James Version, Holy Bible

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

OUR EYES ARE UPON THEE

Thought for the day: Set your eyes upon the Lord.

Message:

It is saddening that we usually think of man before we remember God. We often forget that no man can receive any good gift unless it is given to him from above. Many times we do remember God after man has disappointed us and we have no other option.

I am bold to tell you that God is always ready and available to help; it is because He is not a priority in our lives, because we don't see Him as The Almighty and True God that we fail to see His help. We fail to honor Him by keeping His commandments, facing much pain and unanswered prayers as a result. See this:

Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. Isaiah 59:1-4

God is always there, but you have to turn to Him. He loves you, He doesn’t want to be an option, but the only option and priority in your life. He doesn’t want you to behold Him only when you need money or pleasures of life.

He wants you with Him. He wants you by His side, living by His commandments and walking in His ways.

The scripture reading today gives a narration of a servant and his master. The servant knew that his life, his hope and his future lie in the hand of the master therefore he looked to Him always. He didn’t want to hurt his master nor do what will make him send him away. The day you think you have hope in mortal man, you will fall by it for the fear of man is a snare or trap. Let me share this final scripture with you before we end this:

Because he has focused his love on me, I will deliver him. I will protect him because he knows my name. When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in his distress. I will deliver him, and I will honor him Psalm 91:14-15

I need to ask you this question. Who is your hope? Who did you put your trust in? Make a change today. Decide to follow The Lord Jesus Christ and you will see His wonders in your life.

My Counsel:

Ø   Don't only make God the top priority, make Him the only priority.

Ø  Look up to God in season and out of season.

Declaration

Father, I look up to you, let me not be put to shame in Jesus' name.
