As one of our premier Christian video games, Giants of Philistia features two main characters: Samson and David.
Samson was a judge in Israel who single handedly destroyed large numbers of Philisitines. His pariticularlly striking victory was when he slew a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey.
David is the second king of Israel who we know fought against the Philistines, killing Goliath of Gath in one of the most talked about military victories in all of biblical history.
Here's how you play:
- Start Your Journey: You begin by interacting with the main menu overlay, clicking the "Begin" button to transition smoothly from the title screen directly into the active 3D game canvas.
- Aiming and Targeting: You aim using your central crosshair. When you successfully lock onto a target, your crosshair transforms with a bright gold border, a translucent amber backing, and an outer radiance glow to confirm your target lock.
- Managing Your Arsenal: You can track your current weapon loadout and active gear dynamically in the top-right corner of your heads-up display.
- Surviving the Battle: You monitor your character's health via the health meter, which fills a stylized status bar using a red-to-amber gradient to reflect the damage you take during combat against the Philistine forces.
- Receiving Guidance: As you progress, you receive contextual gameplay instructions, objective hints, and action prompts delivered right to your lower screen via the primary tip box and the accessibility guide bar.
