Psalm Chapter 96 KJV

King James Version, Holy Bible

O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

More Psalms Chapter 96 (Old Testament)

Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

More Psalms Chapter 96 (Old Testament)

11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psalms Chapter 96 Devotional: An Offering Of Praise Unto The Lord

Thought for the day: Praise is the Offering that you can personally offer to God without any human interference or restrictions.

Message:

It is so humbling and beats imagination to realize that the Almighty God who created the Heavens and the Earth with everything in it, only demands our worship and praise, not any material things or possessions and that is why all materials, money, and items we are giving in Churches is still used by the Church, for His glorification and He appreciates it and blesses the givers in return.

It is also exciting to know that this offering of praise that is demanded by God is an offering that could be offered by anyone, at any place and at any point in time as long as their heart is right with God irrespective of their status.

If only what is needed to praise God is your spirit, soul and body, which is an indication that a man is living, I do not think anyone living should be persuaded before he convincingly launches himself to the deep of God worship and Praise, for only Him is worthy of our Praise.

Everything created by God including you is enough motivation to praise the King of all Kings, the LORD of Lords, the I AM That I AM, the reason you are living, the one who is, was and is to come, The Almighty.

He is to be praised with new songs and this usually flows out of the lips of a true worshipper that is worshipping in spirit and truth for His splendor, glory, marvelous deeds, greatness, and for His faithfulness and righteousness that He will exhibit in His judgment to come.

My Counsel

Ø  Make it a lifestyle to be praising God in Spirit and in Truth regardless of any situation you find yourself in.

Ø  Always praise Him for who He is, much more than you would praise Him for what He would do.

Ø  Always acknowledge that He deserves your praise and you will always be moved to praise Him.

Declaration

Father, I acknowledge that you deserve my praise and your praise shall continually be in my mouth in the name of Jesus. Amen!
